Children's Services

Children with support needs in the community include those who are medically fragile and those who live with the consequences of injury. They are often cared for by family/whanau.

We deeply understand the support needs of children and their family caregivers. Our team of paediatric nurses and trained support workers are experienced in the support of children in the community. We work closely with you to plan and deliver services that meet the needs of your child and your family/whanau.

Our services to children include:

  • Assessment and service planning
  • Health assessment
  • Child care while you are recovering from illness or injury
  • Respite care to enable you to take a break
  • Engaging your child in community activities
  • Nutrition support, such as peg feeding
  • Bowel management
  • Catheter care
  • Personal care, such as showering and bathing
  • And more
